About Me
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the VRL Lab, focusing on computational social science. My academic background includes a Ph.D. in Political Science from Sabancı University, completed in 2023, an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Exeter, earned in 2016, and a BA in International Relations from Istanbul Bilgi University, obtained in 2014.
My research interests include voting and protest behavior, political representation, comparative and Turkish politics. My research has been appeared in Party Politics and Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties. I am currently involved in projects that combine computational tools with political science to analyze political behavior using large social datasets, such as Twitter.
In addition to my research, I have been involved in teaching and assisting courses related to political methodology, including Formal Modeling, Survey Methodology, and Quantitative Research. I have taught “ECON 201: Games and Strategies” at Sabancı University and “Research Methods” at Yeditepe University.
My work has been supported by various grants and scholarships, including the TUBITAK ARDEB 1002 program. I was a TUBITAK 2214 scholar, spending six months at the University of Texas at Austin in 2022, and I received the Jean Monnet Scholarship in 2015, which supported my master’s studies at the University of Exeter.
